Lyrics
Verse 1
Hey… girl what’s your name
Could it be… that I know you already
Think I’ve seen you before
So I want to make sure
Bridge 1
Asking you… for your name
Asking you… for a date
She says: “My name is Jane”
She says: “You’ll be entertained”
Verse 2
The next day… we went out
Had a drink or two in a bar to chill out
It was dark
and we looked each other deep in the eyes
She told it right to my face:
“Baby let’s go to my place”
Chorus A
The way she walks beside me
I really don’t know what to do
The way she looks right at me
Tells me that she wants it too
She’s walking fast so fast
I really cannot keep up with her
Without a doubt she turns the knob
And unlocks the front door
… and we both stepped in
Verse 3
Her roommates were out for the weekend
So we kissed and one thing led to another
But it felt kind of wrong
The next day I was gone
Bridge 2
Just stop waiting for a call
Why don’t you… just forget it all
I don’t… wanna know your name
And I… I wasn’t entertained
Chorus B
The way she walks beside me
I really don’t know what to do
The way she looks right at me
Tells me that she wants it too
I’m walking fast so fast
Just tryin‘ to get away from her
The story of last night it
Quickly turned into a nightmare
… and I’m dumping you Jane
Interlude
We had a beautiful time
But she wanted more
For a kiss and a dime
I turned my back on her
‚cause she was not my type
I left her without a word
No worries, nothing on my mind
I jumped into my car
And left her far behind
Speeding down the interstate
I felt a thought appear
But then I hit a deer
Chorus B (2 times)
The way she walks beside me
I really don’t know what to do
The way she looks right at me
Tells me that she wants it too
I’m walking fast so fast
Just tryin‘ to get away from her
The story of last night it
Quickly turned into a nightmare
… and I’m dumping you Jane
